Five English Folk Song Settings for Organ
A suite of English folk songs that are familiar as popular hymn tunes. Conceived as a suite, but also designed to suit different parts of any church service. A fresh take on some well-known melodies.
Fanfare on Monk’s Gate Meditation on Greensleeves Scherzettino on Jacob’s Ladder Prelude on Stowey Toccata on Kingsfold
Carol Fantasia
Organ Solo
Perfect for a celebratory recital or worship service, five carols are presented in an exuberant style. A quieter middle section sets ‘The holly and the ivy’ as a warm, expressive meditation, before the fantasia concludes with a restatement of ‘Ding dong merrily on high’ as a lively dance in 7/8. A duet version is also available. Jubilant and fun!
Carol Fantasia
Organ Duet
Duet version of the Carol Fantasia, with optional (easy) pedals for secondo. A show piece for two players at Christmas.
